Road Infrastructure Boost: 315 Roads and 32 Bridges Approved for 610 Villages

Following a discussion with Union Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan, the Haridwar cabinet approved a massive road development package. The plan includes final clearance for approximately 315 new roads and 32 major bridges, intended to link 610 remote villages to the state’s main transport network.

The project, valued at over INR 2,700 crore, aims to overcome Uttarakhand’s rugged terrain and provide year‑round connectivity for residents. Officials said the final approval process is expected to be completed within the next week, paving the way for swift implementation.
