Uttar Pradesh police recover weapons and stolen copper in raids

Authorities in Muzaffarnagar and Hathras carried out coordinated raids against organized copper‑theft gangs. In Muzaffarnagar, four men were detained after an exchange of fire left one injured; two tamanches, two cartridges, two bikes, two knives and more than ten kilograms of copper wire were seized, along with a vehicle modified for transport. In Hathras, a similar encounter resulted in four arrests and the recovery of comparable weapons and two motorcycles.
