UPSSSC PET Written Exam Held in Two Shifts Statewide

Lucknow, October 25: The UPSSSC is holding the written examination of the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) across 60 districts of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. The test is divided into two shifts, with the morning session scheduled from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon and the afternoon session from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

For the morning shift, candidates were permitted to enter examination centres after police-supervised verification of admit cards.

Lucknow will host the test at 45 centres in two shifts. Police forces and local administration officers have been assigned to support the conduct of the exam. In Gonda district, where centres have been set up in schools, candidates have travelled from Gorakhpur, Azamgarh and several other districts.

Candidates said they were well prepared and that the last paper had been somewhat difficult.

Prayagraj also recorded a large number of candidates. To maintain a cheat-free and orderly environment, each centre has a static magistrate, and sector magistrates have been deployed for confidential material. Surveillance is being carried out through CCTV cameras and biometric authentication.

Smartwatches, calculators and all other electronic devices are completely prohibited inside examination centres. Candidates who appeared said the arrangements were good and hoped for positive outcomes.

In Ayodhya, 75,312 candidates are scheduled to appear at 28 centres.

In Basti district, 26,000 candidates will take the test at 34 centres. CCTV cameras are keeping watch over the centres, and the administration says security arrangements are under close supervision. Candidates from Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar and Gorakhpur have reached the centres.

Moradabad administration and police are on high alert in view of the examination. A total of 46,000 candidates will take part in the two shifts of the preliminary eligibility test. Shelters, dharamshalas and hotels have made special arrangements for candidates, and police personnel are helping them with accommodation, routes and access to examination centres.
