Congress Condemned for Skipping Sections of National Song, Says UP Minister

Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister Manoj Pandey on Friday expressed disappointment over the Congress party’s refusal to perform the complete “Vande Mataram”. He reminded journalists that the anthem is enshrined in India’s legal and cultural fabric, and that avoiding parts of it is “contrary to constitutional spirit”.

Pandey also criticised the party’s broader stance, accusing it of championing the Constitution while simultaneously questioning the armed forces and judicial processes. He urged political players to maintain consistency in respecting national symbols.
