UP Government’s Pathak Accuses SP of Gangsterism and Temple Obstruction
Brajesh Pathak, the Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, arrived in Ayodhya on Sunday and openly accused the Samajwadi Party and its head Akhilesh Yadav of fostering gangsterism and protecting mafia interests during their tenure. He reminded locals that the tragic firing on kar sevaks, which stained the Sarayu river with blood, is still vivid in their memory.
Pathak argued that Akhilesh Yadav continues to live in a fantasy world where he expects acceptance, yet the people of the state will never endorse such a leader. He dismissed Yadav’s intended participation in a Ramkatha as a self‑served agenda unrelated to Ayodhya’s religious heritage.
Labeling the SP and Congress as opponents of Sanatan culture, Pathak said they might don varied cloaks to win elections, but the electorate is well aware of their true nature. He reiterated that Ayodhya is the sacred ground of Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman, and that the magnificent Ram temple is now radiating its beauty worldwide, unimpeded by political hurdles.
The deputy chief minister announced that this year’s Deepotsav will be more spectacular than the previous edition, promising an atmosphere that will make citizens feel the direct presence of Lord Ram. He also recalled that the SP had four opportunities to form the state government, yet its rule left a legacy of “one district, one mafia,” restrictions on women’s freedom, and a forced exodus of daughters and daughters‑in‑law from homes.
Pathak condemned the SP for insulting the Nishad community, referencing the Gorakhpur incident and an attack on a senior party leader’s office. He dismissed the opposition’s claims about the Bharat Taxi scheme, clarifying that it is a Ministry of Cooperation programme where the vehicle owner also serves as driver.
Concluding, Pathak warned that the SP’s attempts to align themselves with Hanuman and Lord Ram will only reveal their falsehood, as a divine curse is said to prevent the party from ever returning to power in Uttar Pradesh.
