In a strong show of support, UP Congress chief Ajay Rai hailed the Indian Youth Congress workers who staged a daring protest at the prestigious AI Summit in Bharat Mandapam. Rai emphasized that the activists deserved endless commendation for exposing what he described as a shameful promotion of imported tech.
Speaking to reporters, Rai recounted how BJP workers attacked his party’s youth brigade. He specifically called out Galgotias University’s exhibit of a China-made robotic dog, labeling it a direct affront to India’s scientific community. ‘The government remains silent on this outrage—where’s the accountability?’ Rai asked, while pledging full backing to the protesters.
Taking a broader swipe at the ruling BJP, Rai charged that they avoid substantive discussions on skyrocketing prices and lack of jobs, preferring petty politics instead. ‘Their reign is coming to an end,’ he predicted.
On a serious note, Rai raised alarms about Rahul Gandhi’s safety after incidents of black flags during his travel to Bhiwandi court. ‘Threats are real; grant him SPG cover without delay,’ he urged.
Addressing BJP’s jabs at Priyanka Gandhi, Rai portrayed her as a devout leader with profound respect for diverse religious practices, citing her pilgrimage to Kamakhya temple.
Senior Congress figure Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury reinforced that Rahul Gandhi remains unshaken by intimidation tactics. He criticized the AI Summit’s heavy tilt towards US and Chinese firms, questioning why the government prioritizes foreign goods when domestic challenges like unemployment and poor education demand attention.
