From Unnao Village to Rajya Sabha: Bhagwati Charan Verma’s Journey

Bhagwati Charan Verma’s life reads like a serial drama, moving from a modest upbringing in Shafi Pur, Unnao, to the corridors of India’s upper house. After establishing himself as a novelist and poet, his career took an unexpected turn when he accepted Devika Rani’s invitation to join Bombay Talkies in 1943.
