Unidentified Driver Flees After Ramming Police Barrier in Mumbai

In the early hours of September 13, a red automobile approached a police‑set barricade on SV Road, Bandra West, at a speed that left little reaction time for the officers on duty. Despite clear hand signals, the driver ignored the command to stop and crashed into the barrier, propelling it backward. The force of the impact injured Constable Karan Mohite’s left hand. The suspect did not stop, abandoning the scene and disappearing into the night. Mumbai’s Bandra police have registered a case and are actively pursuing the driver by analysing footage from the network of CCTV cameras installed around the checkpoint.
