Unauthorized Demolition Leads to Fatal Collapse in Delhi Neighborhood

Investigators have determined that the building that collapsed in South Delhi's Satyaniketan area was being dismantled by a private contractor hired by the owners without any official clearance. The demolition work, which began without permission from the relevant agency, suddenly gave way, trapping laborers inside the debris. Early reports indicate that four workers sustained injuries and are receiving medical attention. The incident follows a similar unauthorized demolition in Karol Bagar last month, where a two‑storey structure collapsed, killing one person and injuring three others.
