Important Timings and Instructions for UGC NET 2026 Paper Day

The UGC NET 2026 re‑exam schedule is now finalised. On Wednesday, the English paper starts at 9 AM and ends at 12 PM, followed by the Commerce paper in the second shift from 3 PM to 6 PM. The next day, Thursday, the Sociology paper will be held from 9 AM to 12 PM.

NTA has reminded all examinees to verify the location of their assigned centre, reach there early, and present a valid admit card along with a photo identification proof. Any deviation from the prescribed timeline may result in disqualification.

Travel constraints in the capital city are expected on the exam days, so candidates should consider alternative routes or public transport options. The agency also advises candidates to keep essential items such as pens, pencils, and a water bottle, while avoiding prohibited materials inside the test hall.
