Udit Raj Challenges Ram Temple Visit Request, Defends Minority Concerns

New Delhi, 8 November — In a fiery press briefing, Congress politician Udit Raj took aim at Akhilesh Yadav’s proposal to organise a visit to the Ram temple ahead of upcoming elections. Raj asked Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath whether Lord Ram could ever be anyone’s private possession and insisted that no permission or certificate is required to approach a divine site.

The leader also spotlighted the recent Diwali celebration plan for Buxar, Chhattisgarh, accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of repeatedly exploiting festivals for electoral mileage. He reiterated his support for Sonia Gandhi’s remarks on the Babri Masjid tragedy and cautioned against alienating the country’s massive Muslim population.

Addressing Delhi’s polluted skies, Raj described the administration as a “quadrupedal engine,” blaming the tangled web of local, state and central authorities for the environmental crisis. He closed by reminding listeners that India’s long history of foreign domination—from the Turks to the British—has left a legacy of dependency that the ruling parties must finally break.
