UCC debate in Madhya Pradesh and RSS remarks spark criticism from Ayodhya MP

Avadhesh Prasad turned his attention to the ongoing discourse surrounding the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in Madhya Pradesh, stating that India's strength lies in its mosaic of cultures, languages, attire and culinary habits. He emphasized that any law aimed at homogenising personal laws must be grounded firmly in the Constitution, which already balances unity and diversity.

He also addressed recent statements made by Priyank Khadage about the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), reminding listeners that the nation’s freedom fighters sacrificed their lives for independence, not to serve foreign interests. Prasad urged that any critique of the RSS be based on factual history rather than political rhetoric.

The MP concluded that policy decisions concerning personal law and ideological organisations should be framed with constitutional fidelity, ensuring that the democratic fabric remains intact.
