Verma also turned his focus to the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) legislation, questioning why the Bharatiya Janata Party, despite promising its implementation in the 2014, 2019 and 2024 manifestos, has only applied the law in a handful of smaller states such as Assam, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. He further raised concerns over two pressing national problems: the repeated theft of the Ram temple idol and the alarming frequency of paper leaks in competitive examinations. Citing over a hundred leaked exam papers in the last ten months, Verma argued that the government is neglecting these critical issues while attempting to divert public attention.
