Two drug traffickers arrested as authorities confiscate 1.5 lakh meth tablets

In a night‑time intervention near Lalpani, a combined force of Assam Rifles, Customs and state police halted a Tata truck carrying an estimated 150,000 meth tablets, valued at more than ₹45 crore. The driver was apprehended and the haul handed over to Customs. A second intelligence‑driven raid at Shivpur intercepted another truck, seizing 2.3 lakh tablets (≈25 kg) and arresting the co‑driver, Sahir Hussain Chaudhary.
