Two Lost Adolescents Safely Returned to Parents after Intensive Search

The North‑East district police of Delhi reported a successful conclusion to a two‑week search for two missing teenage girls. The girls, both 14‑year‑old students of a government senior secondary school, were reported missing on August 19. The police registered FIRs under the appropriate legal provision and mobilised dedicated squads. Using a blend of technical surveillance, location data, and community verification, officers located the first girl on August 22, who explained that an unknown individual had diverted them toward the Khajuraho/Bageshwar route. Continued surveillance and intelligence work led to the second girl’s recovery. After completing necessary legal steps and receiving counselling, the girls were handed over to their relieved families, with further inquiries ongoing.
