Two Injured Suspects Arrested in Ghaziabad After Shooting Exchange

Police in Ghaziabad's Sihaani Gate jurisdiction engaged three suspects on a motorcycle shortly after midnight on September 11. The suspects attempted to evade the checkpoint, but a slip caused them to tumble.

While one suspect was captured on the ground, the other two opened fire on the officers. The police response resulted in both assailants being hit by bullets. They were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical care and subsequently booked.

A search of the suspects' belongings yielded two homemade firearms, a cache of cartridges, a mobile phone and the bike used during the incident. The three men — Shah Rukh, Imran and Sonu — have previously been linked to multiple thefts and robberies.

ACP Jiyauddin reported that Shah Rukh has thirteen pending cases, including murder and attempted murder, whereas Imran faces four cases involving robbery and illegal weapon possession. Interrogations are ongoing to uncover any additional crimes tied to the trio.
