Two Delhi Youths Dead in Bhalswa Dairy Truck-Bike Collision

Delhi's Bhalswa Dairy area witnessed a gruesome road mishap on Wednesday night, claiming the lives of two 28-year-old men in a brutal truck-motorcycle smash. The incident has sparked outrage over road safety lapses in the national capital.

At approximately 11:50 PM, near Gurjar Chowk, a truck rammed into a black motorcycle, hurling its riders onto the pavement in pools of blood. Responding officers from Bhalswa Dairy station discovered the wreckage and rushed the injured to a nearby hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries.

Azad Bharati, employed at a Mukundpur medical store, and Deepesh, a taxi operator from the same locality, were the unfortunate victims. Their deaths have devastated their families and neighbors, who gathered in grief outside the hospital.

Investigators recorded a statement from eyewitness Rohit, whose account is pivotal. The forensics team scoured the accident spot for clues, while police impounded the truck and bike. Baljinder Singh, the 35-year-old driver from Amritsar's Khalchia village, was taken into custody.

An FIR was filed at Bhalswa Dairy station, and the case handed over to the specialized MACT Cell/OND for deeper scrutiny. Preliminary findings point to possible high speeds or driver error, but a full report is awaited.

Such accidents highlight Delhi's dire traffic woes, with calls growing for improved lighting, speed cameras, and driver training. The loss of these young breadwinners serves as a stark reminder of the human cost behind everyday commutes.
