Two crore voters allegedly removed from rolls, Raj Thackeray demands accountability

Raj Thackeray raised a serious concern that about two crore citizens have been struck off the electoral register nationwide.

He asked, "Who are these two crore people? Why are they being denied the franchise?" and called for an immediate freeze on any further voter‑list revisions.

The MNS chief accused the ruling alliance of engineering these deletions to manipulate the upcoming polls and urged all political formations to join his demand for a transparent, paper‑ballot based election system.

According to Thackeray, the only way to guarantee a credible outcome is to scrap the SIR process, eliminate EVMs, and revert to physical ballots.
