Two Amritsar youths arrested after firing at police in Panchkula

Following a gunfight near the Tau Devi Lal Stadium, police arrested two suspects from Amritsar district of Punjab. The men, identified as Arshdeep Singh and Jugaraj Singh, were said to have fired five bullets at the police, intending to cause lethal harm. The exchange resulted in one bullet embedding in a bullet‑proof jacket, another damaging a police vehicle, and both assailants being hit in their left feet. They were immediately taken to the Sector‑6 government hospital for medical care. Two pistols were seized, and investigators are tracing the suspects' possible gang affiliations and the motive behind the planned crime.
