Truck Hits Pickup Near Shiv Inter College, Kasganj, Leaving Six Dead

A devastating road accident unfolded in Kasganj district on Monday before dawn, when a truck transporting livestock feed collided with a pickup carrying six Rajasthan residents. The pickup was heading to a bone disposal site when it met the oncoming truck near the entrance of Shiv Inter College, close to Mohanpura. The collision, estimated at 4:30 a.m., was powerful enough to cause immediate fatalities for all six passengers—three males and three females. Around 20 other passengers suffered injuries, among them seven children, six women and seven men, with nine in a critical state. First responders, local volunteers, and police arrived quickly, rescuing those trapped and transporting the injured to Kasganj District Hospital. The two vehicles have been impounded, and investigators are probing whether the truck was traveling on the wrong side of the road or if the pickup driver experienced drowsiness.
