Tripura to launch Agra‑style tea auction centre

The state government is working on establishing an Agra‑style tea auction centre in Agartala to provide growers and manufacturers with a common, technology‑driven platform. The proposed centre will bring together brokers, buyers, warehouses and other stakeholders, enabling electronic bidding and greater participation. Officials anticipate that the transparent pricing mechanism will help secure better rates for Tripura tea and expand its market access worldwide.
