Tripura Expands Farmer Support with New Sub‑Divisional Offices and Farmer IDs

Every district in Tripura now hosts a Deputy Director for Agriculture, Horticulture and Soil Conservation, ensuring direct oversight of market upgrades. The state has also set up 47 agricultural sub‑mandal offices and nine horticulture‑soil‑conservation sub‑mandal offices to bring central and state schemes closer to farmers. A unique Farmer ID (Farmer ID) system is being rolled out to simplify access to welfare programmes, enabling each cultivator to link to multiple benefits with a single identifier.
