Triprayar Temple Sees Traditional Meeṭṭu and Vedipaji Ceremonies Conducted by Pawan Kalyan

Pawan Kalyan engaged in two of Triprayar’s oldest rituals: the Meeṭṭu and Vedipaji ceremonies. The Meeṭṭu ritual, performed on the banks of the Thevara river, involved the politician feeding fish, an act believed to echo Lord Vishnu’s Matsya incarnation.

Subsequently, Kalyan took part in the Vedipaji ceremony, during which traditional firecrackers—known locally as Vedipaji—were set off to mark the conclusion of the day’s worship. The practice traces its origins to Lord Hanuman’s report to Lord Rama about Sita’s location, prompting Rama’s joyous expression through resonant sounds.

Kalyan oversaw the release of 1,001 firecrackers, a gesture that blended historical legend with contemporary devotion. Observers noted the seamless coordination between the temple’s priests, local officials, and the visiting dignitary, reflecting the community’s dedication to preserving age‑old customs.
