Tribute to Fallen Representatives as Tripura Legislature Celebrates Milestone

The celebration of Tripura Legislative Assembly's 63rd foundation day turned into a solemn tribute to the many leaders who gave their lives for the cause of democracy. CPI(M) legislator Jitendra Chaudhary, addressing a diverse audience, remembered the stalwarts of the Territorial Council era and the early members who championed the transition from royal administration to a people's house.

He underscored that the assembly's significance goes beyond its brick and mortar, reflecting the sacrifices, dedication, and perseverance of generations of public servants. Chaudhary praised the collaborative spirit among party members and independents, noting that together they have upheld the dignity of the house and strengthened democratic values. The Governor’s address reinforced these sentiments, congratulating the 40 lakh citizens of Tripura for their role as the real owners of the democratic system.
