The state has earmarked ₹4,764 crore for the comprehensive development of its 2.739 million tribal population. Through Integrated Tribal Development Agencies, the focus is on improving living standards, infrastructure, employment, and skill development.
Under the "Adavi Thalli Baata" program, 905 kilometres of roads have been constructed at a cost of ₹1,000 crore, linking 2,336 tribal settlements to the larger road network. The government also highlights the success of Araku coffee, which was nurtured 25 years ago and has now become a global brand. Plans are underway to expand coffee cultivation to one lakh acres, alongside promoting black pepper and turmeric as commercial crops.
