During the month‑long Shravani Mela that starts on 30 July, the Eastern Railway will run a dedicated special train on the Barhni–Deoghar route. Running for 33 consecutive days, the train offers two daily windows: a forward journey departing Barhni at 15:20 and a return leaving Deoghar at 18:45. The schedule includes strategic halts at key stations such as Munger, Sultanpur, Bhagalpur, Barahat and Banka, ensuring that passengers from various districts can board without hassle. By providing an extra unreserved capacity, the railway expects to alleviate crowding on existing services and improve overall punctuality during the peak pilgrimage season.
