Tragic Bus Accident on Hyderabad-Vijayawada Highway Claims Six Lives

In the early hours of August 26, a private bus traveling along the Hyderabad‑Vijayawada National Highway in Sunrapet district, Telangana, collided forcefully with a container. The impact resulted in six fatalities among the 42 passengers and injured about twenty others.

Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan posted his condolences on X, expressing deep sympathy for the victims' families and hoping for a rapid recovery of the injured.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also conveyed his sorrow, emphasizing his solidarity with those who have lost relatives and praying for the quick recuperation of the wounded.

Telangana’s chief minister, Revant Reddy, ordered the chief secretary to guarantee prompt medical assistance for the injured and to provide support to the families of the dead.
