Trade License Violations Lead to Closure of Coaching Hubs in Ranchi

Ranchi’s municipal administration has intensified its crackdown on coaching centres that ignore licensing rules. On September 2, four institutes in the Lalpur‑Hariom Tower zone were sealed after inspectors confirmed they lacked a trade licence. The agencies had previously received notice to regularise their status, but continued operations prompted immediate action. The corporation’s survey earlier this year listed 831 coaching centres, yet only a fraction held the legally required licences. Authorities warned that non‑compliance breaches the Jharkhand Municipal Licence Rules of 2017, prompting swift sealing of the offending premises.
