Trade deficit widens as total trade climbs, target to reduce gap highlighted

While total India‑Russia trade has surged from roughly $13 billion in FY 2021‑22 to about $60 billion in FY 2025‑26, the deficit has expanded from $6.6 billion to over $50 billion. Reducing this imbalance is now a top priority for both sides.
