Tomar Highlights Railway Gauge Upgrade Ahead of Ravidas Festival

While attending the Sant Ravidas Jayanti celebrations in Muraina, Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar drew attention to the recent railway gauge conversion project linking Gwalior, Shyopur and Kota. The shift from narrow‑gauge to broad‑gauge, he said, will transform the area’s transport landscape.

Tomar explained that the upgrade will not only improve passenger movement but also stimulate commerce, benefiting over a hundred villages along the route. He framed the project as a catalyst for regional development and a boon for the local economy.

The speaker reiterated the importance of Sant Ravidas’s teachings, urging citizens to adopt his principles of social harmony while embracing the progress promised by infrastructure enhancements.
