TISS Announces Vacancies Across Campuses – Professors, Associate & Assistant Roles

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences has publicized nine faculty openings spanning its Tuljapur, Hyderabad, and Guwahati campuses. The roster comprises one Professor (Social Work) at Tuljapur (OB‑C), one Professor (Statistics) at Hyderabad (SC), two Associate Professor positions – one in Social Work (ST) and another in Development Studies/Social Science (ST) – at Tuljapur, plus four Assistant Professor roles covering Social Sciences, Sociology, the Centre for Undergraduate Studies, and the School of Social Work at Guwahati and Tuljapur. Professors need a Ph.D., a decade of teaching or research service, and a minimum of ten peer‑reviewed publications. Associate Professors should hold a Ph.D., clear 55 % in Masters, possess eight years of experience, produce seven publications, and achieve a research score of 75. For Assistant Professors, a Master's degree with 55 % marks, along with a NET qualification or Ph.D., is mandatory. Selection will be based on document screening, followed by interviews. Appointed faculty will draw salaries according to Academic Pay Level 14 (Professors), Level 13A (Associate Professors), and Level 10 (Assistant Professors).
