Three-Day Session in Kozhikode Aims to Rebuild CPI(M) After Setback

The CPI(M) Kerala State Committee convened a three‑day meeting in Kozhikode to address the party’s recent electoral disappointment. The session is designed as a critical self‑assessment, focusing on political direction, organisational health and voter outreach.

Opening remarks will be delivered by General Secretary M.A. Baby, who will set the tone for a candid examination of the causes behind the loss. Delegates will explore the party’s ideological stance, campaign strategies, and the alignment between leadership and grassroots activists.

With 307 delegates present, including Politburo members and senior officials from district and cooperative bodies, the forum will evaluate the party’s messaging, coordination mechanisms, and the ability to respond to changing public expectations.

The outcome of the meeting will be a consolidated report, enriched by direct feedback from party workers, that will inform the next phase of organisational strengthening and electoral preparation.
