Three-Day Jharkhand Tour: BJP Chief to Lead Strategy Talks
BJP National President Nitin Navin is set to begin a three-day visit to Jharkhand on Friday. The tour will centre on reorganising the party's structure and mapping out its political approach for the coming period.
Navin is due to arrive at Ranchi airport at around 7 pm on Friday. This is his second visit to the state after becoming the national president of the party.
On Saturday, October 24, he will take part in the opening session of the state executive committee meeting. He is expected to speak to office-bearers and workers and discuss the organisation's future path.
The Jharkhand unit of the BJP has made broad preparations for his visit. Workers plan to receive him with traditional ceremonies, folk drums and flower showers.
The visit comes after important organisational appointments were made in the state unit recently, including positions for the state in-charge and the organisation general secretary. Talks with state leaders are likely to focus on organisational coordination, party priorities and upcoming political challenges.
The Giridih assembly bypoll, the party's electoral strategy, the mobilisation of grassroots workers and preparations for the 2029 Lok Sabha and assembly elections are also set to be discussed.
Navin's meetings with the state leadership are seen as significant for deciding organisational priorities, ensuring coordination and tackling the political challenges that lie ahead.
On Thursday, Jharkhand BJP president Aditya Sahu had convened a meeting of state office-bearers at the party office to review the preparations for the national president's visit.
State general secretary Amar Kumar Bauri said that the arrival of Navin had generated strong excitement among party workers.
Earlier this year in June, Navin had made a two-day organisational visit to Jharkhand. During that trip, he attended multiple organisational meetings and engaged with elected representatives, office-bearers, intellectuals and party workers.
He had chaired a meeting with MPs and MLAs at the state BJP office and then held a strategy session with the state core committee members.
