Thousands Gather for Mahakal Aarti, Over 150k Laddus Served

Ujjain saw a massive influx of devotees as the city celebrated Raksha Bandhan at Mahakaleshwar Temple. After a Panchamrit abhishek, the Great Nirvani Akhada performed the ash Aarti, believed to manifest Mahakal in a tangible form. A specially woven Rakhi was tied to the deity’s wrist.

More than 150,000 laddus were offered and distributed among the crowd as Prasadam, accompanied by chants of “Jai Shri Mahakal” and “Har Har Mahadev.”
