The AI camera grid covering the railway stretch adjacent to the forest near Puthupathi has issued more than seven thousand alerts in just 30 months. Each alert triggers a response from forest wardens, who guide the herd away from the tracks, and from railway staff, who adjust train operations. As a result, more than three thousand trains have been slowed or halted, and almost ten thousand elephant movements across the line have been safely managed.
