The current 2023‑2027 phase aims to scale up large‑scale digitisation, increase virtual hearings, and improve coordination among justice‑related agencies. New technologies such as artificial intelligence, analytics and optical character recognition (OCR) are being piloted to create smarter, paper‑less courts.
Digitising millions of legacy records protects them from physical damage and speeds up research. Video‑conferencing now links courts, prisons and hospitals at 7,553 locations, enabling remote testimony and reducing the need for costly travel.
