Ten Suspects Arrested, Vehicles Seized in Punjab Police Crackdown on Narcotics

Punjab police intensified their fight against narcotics in Amritsar on September 2, deploying a force of 150 officers to execute a meticulously planned crackdown. The teams surrounded the target zone, inspected homes and checked suspicious locations.

The operation led to the apprehension of ten alleged drug dealers and the confiscation of eight to ten motor vehicles whose paperwork raised red flags. Several batches of narcotic material and prohibited alcoholic drinks were also recovered.

According to the DCP (Law & Order), the raid was carried out under direct orders from the police commissioner, with senior officials such is the ADC-P1 and local station heads overseeing the proceedings.

All detainees are undergoing interrogation, and the seized assets are under forensic examination. Police have warned that further legal steps will follow based on the outcomes of the investigation.
