Temporary relocation shouldn't erase voter rights, says MLA Ameen Patel

Patel pointed out that many displaced families lack a permanent address because they live in rented units or government‑run transit camps. Consequently, they cannot update the address on their photo ID or other election documents. He appealed to the BMC to issue clear instructions so that enumeration officers and SER teams continue to list these voters based on their original home addresses, thereby preventing accidental deletion from the voter list.
