Temporary Attachment of Rs 22.46 Crore Property Ordered Under PMLA

Pursuant to provisions of the Prevention of Money‑Laundering Act, the Enforcement Directorate has temporarily attached assets worth Rs 22.46 crore belonging to the late Arvind Joshi and his spouse. The seized estate features a cricket academy, a hospitality complex, and several acres of land in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal district. The ED’s action follows a series of complaints, investigations and documentary evidence indicating that the Joshi family accumulated movable and immovable assets far exceeding the income they could legitimately earn while serving in senior administrative positions.
