Telangana’s Infrastructure Push Drives Historic Land Auction Prices in Hyderabad

Telangana's strategic focus on infrastructure has led to an unprecedented land auction outcome in Hyderabad, where a single acre of government land sold for ₹264 crore on Friday.

The sale, part of a 5.25‑acre multi‑use parcel in the Redurg IT corridor, was overseen by the Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC). The entire auction amassed ₹1,386 crore, reinforcing the corridor's status as a prime destination for real‑estate investment.

The reserve price set at ₹175 crore per acre was surpassed by more than 50 %, reflecting robust competition among large developers and a positive market outlook for the region. Officials described the result as evidence that Hyderabad is fast becoming one of India's most dynamic property markets.

The auction process, facilitated through the MSTC e‑Auction platform with JLL as exclusive transaction advisor, ensured full transparency and drew participation from leading developers across the country.

Stakeholders view the record price as a validation of the state's development blueprint, which prioritises transparent governance, high‑quality infrastructure, and long‑term value creation for investors and residents alike.
