Telangana Congress Demands Accountability as KCR Misses Ten Days of Assembly, Costs ₹20 Crore

The Congress party in Telangana has publicly demanded that K. Chandrashekhar Rao, the chief of the regional party KCR, be held accountable for his repeated absences from the state assembly. The party's representatives cited that the leader has not been present in the legislative chamber for ten days, despite a salary of ₹1.20 crore.

Beyond the salary, the opposition highlighted that over ₹20 crore has already been allocated for KCR's security detail, convoy, and related travel costs. "He signs the attendance register and then disappears, never raising any public issue," stated Congress MLA T. Ram Mohan Reddy.

J. Ramachandra Naik urged the leader to appear before the assembly and answer questions about his performance over the last ten years, contrasting it with the work undertaken by the opposition in the past two and a half years. "The drama on the streets is not what voters demanded," Naik said.

Other party figures, including G. Vinod and MLC Balmooru Venkata, emphasized the need for strict party discipline and assured that any criticism, irrespective of caste or religion, would be addressed uniformly.
