Telangana Targets $1 Trillion Economy by 2034, $3 Trillion by 2047

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revant Reddy laid out a bold economic roadmap during the launch of Amara Raja’s EV battery cell plant in Mahbubnagar district. He announced that the state will strive to boost its share in India’s gross domestic product from the current five percent to ten percent within the next decade. Central to this ambition is the goal of reaching a one‑trillion‑dollar gross state product by 2034, and soaring to three trillion dollars by the year 2047, the projected centenary of India’s independence. The CM attributed this growth plan to a mix of policy continuity, infrastructure development, and sectoral focus on industry, tourism, health, and clean energy. He also pledged immediate support for farmers through water allocation for the Palamuru‑Rangareddy lift irrigation scheme (90 TMC) and the Dindi project (30 TMC). The electric‑vehicle sector, highlighted by the new Amara Raja plant employing 700 staff—including 400 women—was presented as a catalyst for both economic diversification and environmental sustainability.
