Team Claims Denial of Access to Sonal Wangchuk at Safdarjung Hospital

Dr. Nitin Dighe, a member of the medical squad that monitors Wangchuk’s health from the Jantar‑Mantar protest site, asserted that the hospital did not allow any of their doctors to meet the patient. Dighe said he has been overseeing Wangchuk’s condition for the past 20 days, and his team performed regular examinations, but a Home Ministry official on site blocked all attempts at contact.

The doctor also alleged that the hospital reported a low potassium level, while a test conducted on the previous Friday afternoon showed potassium within normal limits. According to Dighe, the potassium supplement supplied by the hospital could have been administered at the protest location, making admission unnecessary.
