TASMAC to stock at least one case of each premium and medium brand per outlet

Following recent reforms, TASMAC has been directed to ensure that every retail outlet, especially its premium "Elite" stores, holds a minimum of one case of every approved premium and medium‑grade alcoholic brand. The measure accompanies a broader procurement overhaul that mandates nearly equal purchase volumes from all eligible manufacturers. By diversifying inventory, the corporation hopes to satisfy a wider spectrum of consumer preferences while reducing the dominance of a few high‑volume brands that previously supplied up to 70 percent of total sales. Employee feedback has been mixed; some staff members express concern that equal allocation could lead to shelf space being occupied by slower‑selling products, potentially impacting revenue. Drinkers, however, have welcomed the initiative, urging the inclusion of more internationally recognised spirits that are currently available only in neighboring Puducherry and other states.
