Tandwa Raid Nets Three Criminals and Weapons in Anti‑Extortion Drive

Authorities in Tandwa district, Chhattisgarh, have arrested three criminals tied to the Rahul Dubey gang as part of a broader anti‑extortion operation. The men—identified as Sanjay Murti, Alok Kumar Singh, and Ajay Karmali—were caught after a coordinated sting in Karor village, following a tip about a planned assault on coal traders.

The police recovered a firearm, a local style knife, six live cartridges, a mobile phone and a bike. SDPO Prabhat Ranjan Barwar confirmed that the suspects were preparing to levy illegal charges on coal merchants and use gunfire to terrorise the region. The rapid intervention halted the scheme, and investigators are now probing the source of the weapons and the gang's wider connections.
