In a fiery address to reporters in Chennai, BJP’s Tamilisai Soundararajan from Mylapore accused CM MK Stalin of panic mode ever since Tamil Nadu’s assembly election schedule was revealed. Contesting on a BJP ticket for 27 seats, she described an unstoppable wave in her favor due to DMK’s mismanagement.
‘Mylapore has suffered greatly under DMK’s V Velu,’ she charged, rejecting Stalin’s claims that BJP bigwigs’ campaign involvement amounts to coercion. Soundararajan spotlighted NDA’s contributions: numerous Vande Bharat services linking the state and Rs 11 lakh crore in development funds.
She grilled Stalin on opposing the women’s reservation bill, which promises 33% seats for women, boosting their political role. ‘DMK’s Salma spews divisive talk; we condemn it outright. Stalin fears defeat,’ she said. Soundararajan promised campaign revelations on local grievances. Elections for all 234 constituencies are slated for April 23, 2026, with counting on May 4.
