He claimed that after a student death at Anna University, officials tried to shift focus to a suspected scrub typhus case instead of addressing the broader health crisis. The AIADMK leader urged the administration to launch continuous medical camps on every street, dispatch field teams to inspect neighborhoods, and destroy breeding grounds to halt the spread of the disease.
