Swara Bhaskar Faces Nationwide Strike Threat After Kshatriya Groups React

A group of social organisations in Patna staged a symbolic protest on September 3 after actress Swara Bhaskar repeated a comment about Jauhar that many Kshatriya women described as vulgar. The protestors smeared charcoal on a large image of the actress and shouted for an immediate apology.

Krishna Kumar (Kallu) addressed the media, stating that the demand for an apology is non‑negotiable and that failure to comply within 24 hours will lead to a coordinated strike across multiple Indian states.

Bhai Chandan added that the actress’s words insulted the memory of mothers and sisters who chose Jauhar over capture, and that their sacrifice must remain respected.

Seima Kaur emphasized that, as a fellow woman, Bhaskar should have exercised sensitivity and proper language. She warned that the lack of acknowledgment could spark protests in major cities beyond Patna.

The organisers pledged to monitor the actress’s response closely and prepared logistics for a nationwide demonstration should the deadline pass without an apology.
