Swami Vivekananda’s Ideals Celebrated by State Chief Ministers

The 152nd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda saw a chorus of commendations from the country’s chief ministers, all posted on the micro‑blogging platform X.

Rekha Gupta, chief minister of Delhi, described the saint as a global ambassador of Indian spirituality. She noted that his message of confidence, moral fortitude and nation‑service continues to stir the hearts of young Indians.

Bhanwarlal Sharma of Rajasthan hailed Vivekananda as a “great conduit of Indian culture, spirituality and national awareness,” stressing that his energetic ideas still guide citizens toward duty, self‑belief and nation‑building.

Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami called the monk a “formidable philosopher and speaker” whose thoughts elevated the reputation of Vedic philosophy worldwide. Dhami urged the nation to internalise Vivekananda’s ideals to forge a self‑reliant, globally respected India.

Haryana chief minister Nayeem Singh Saini praised Vivekananda as an eternal carrier of Indian knowledge, spirituality and national consciousness, asserting that his inspiring persona will forever motivate progress on the path of service and human welfare.

Deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya highlighted a famous Vivekananda quote about external nature reflecting inner nature, reiterating the saint’s role in giving Indian culture a global identity and inspiring youth to uphold character, patriotism and diligent service.
