Suspect Nabbed in Six Hours; Jewelry Worth Millions Restored for Critical Surgery

In a case that underscored the efficiency of Delhi’s law‑enforcement, a suspect was captured within six hours of a burglary that targeted a family’s emergency medical fund. The victims had assembled about ₹12.5 lakh by liquidating jewellery and saving for years to afford a spine surgery for their six‑year‑old daughter at a major hospital. After a window was smashed on July 22, the family reported the theft. Police formed a dedicated investigative team, leveraged forensic data, and traced the 25‑year‑old offender from Vazirpur. His cooperation led officers to the concealed stash, where the full amount of jewellery and cash was retrieved and handed back to the parents.
